Best Chinese in york hands down! Would definitely recommend if your not sure, was very quick tasty and flavoursome, all sauses and stocks tasted homemade. Portions were a good size too so we have leftovers :)

Quality is amazing, service is incredibly fast, food order for 3-4 people can be ready within 10-20 minutes from ordering on the phone, perfect for a quick pick up. Customer service is brilliant, lovely workers happy to help every way they can.

This was the best Chinese Takeaway I have had in YEARS! The satay chicken was delicious!! I just need to move them closer to where I actually live so I can eat tastier food more often…. 😍

Our food was very good, still hot when we got home and freshly cooked! Friendly and welcoming, I would definitely recommend it. We aren't from here, on holiday, but wish it was my local takeaway! The prices are no higher than at home, newcastle, definitely not expensive!

Amazing food. First time in the area nice little find. The lady was so friendly and we joked about gravy on the special fried rice....Great little place

Really tasty special fried noddles and prawn crackers. Enjoyed it but personal preference is a little bit more sauce on the meat. The prices have gone up but only in line with everywhere else so nothing too drastic .

A great Chinese takeaway great choice of food and speedy service. Our young family love the chicken with ginger and spring onion. We also order the prawn toast and spring rolls, great value for money too.

Favourite Chinese in York! Very quick service every time, great prices and I can't even explain how beautiful the chicken chow mein is here, I've brought all my friends and they are equally as in awe, including some friends from Hong Kong who are very critical of the Chinese food in England, they loved it and said it was as good as back home!
Lovely food always greeted warmly and generous portions. Can't find another Chinese takeaway as good in York. All my friends have their favourite meal when they visit

1The Golden Horse is a Chinese takeaway in York, North Yorkshire, where we specialise in authentic and delicious Cantonese and Peking food. Choose from our extensive menu of starters, main courses and desserts, which includes a range of vegetarian and English dishes, as well as a delicious array of sides. Either way, our preparation, cooking and service is quick and simple.
You might fancy trying our most popular dishes, such as our crispy aromatic duck; a speciality of Cantonese cooking. If not there are a wide variety of curries, noodle and rice dishes to take your fancy.
